Fridge Poetry 22 - Non-attachment

Truth can be heard in

the howling of a storm,

whispers of the dead,

lightning’s dance,

and

through thundering torment.

Even a boorish drunkard poet

has some shadow-stained song

to trust us with.

For many

a gilded dream and silent soul

will solve every problem,

is like light upon every mystery,

or has power over death.

So, fly with another lost spirit,

take heart in fear,

feel grace in cold discontent,

kiss and live,

love and flower.

Beauty will speak truly.
