Love doesn’t have to be anything except what it is.

It never has to be

exciting

or boring

or infuriating

or exhilirating

or exhausting

or anything else.

Everyone wants this big drama

and that just isn’t how it always is.

Sometimes love is just there

and it isn’t this

uplifting

glamourizing

buoying

magical force.

Love can be benign.

And there are worse things in the world to experience

than plain jane love

and there are also better things existing things out there, too.

But,

try cooking without seasoning,

try laughing without your guts hurting,

try a million-and-one things without the

energy that makes them all go and that is a

life without love.

It all looks a little bit different for all of us

but it isn’t all that different,

just manifests and presents differently.

So, love all kinds of love because love is what powers us all.
