Love Poem 30

Once in a blue moon

and once upon a lightning strike

is how this all feels.

Seeing life happening,

seeing energy uncoil and unwind and

feeling it surge and sort itself into a

moment

just for us and guiding us to

be ready

to strike when the iron is hot,

to be ready to embrace the moment,

to be able to understand

that while there will be many full moons and many lightning

strikes, there are never any repeated specks of time.

So, when we see the lightning split the tree

or we see the hole in the sky so wide it might swallow

everything,

we must recognize this might just be

when everything is aligning.

Life can be funny and life can put us in funny positions,

but we do get to choose how we face those things.

We can choose whether or not we take a risk and

we can choose

if we want to see the world of the

unknown and

unquantifiable

or if we would rather sit back and watching the lightning strikes

and sit under the full moons and say,

oh,

I wish

there might be something out there for me.
